Job Methods (JM) is a program to provide management with a tool or skillset to help supervisors acquire a skill in conjunction with their staff for improvement in the methods being done in their facility. Everyone has ideas on how to improve methods. The purpose of Job Methods it to teach how to improve what we are currently doing, by working smarter, not harder. The goal of JM is to make the best use of what is now available, through our current people, machines and materials. This is not a program or technique about investing large amounts of money on new technology and\or infrastructure. By utilizing Job Methods, you gain the benefits of reducing costs, work in process, and inventory while increasing production, sales and profits.
