ExporTech™ combines 3 full-day sessions, scheduled approximately one month apart, with personal coaching to assist your company in creating a written export plan that will set you on the path to increased business growth through exporting.
As a participating company, you will:
- Gain an understanding of how exports can be a major growth driver
- Determine whether exporting is RIGHT for your company
- Identify hurdles to export sales growth
- Work with experts to develop a customized international growth plan for your company
How The ExporTech™ Program Works
You will work as a group among non-competing companies from various industry sectors and be guided through a process to accelerate the pace of development and increase the success rate of your international sales efforts. Participation is limited to provide sufficient time and focus attention to your specific company’s export needs. As each company is encouraged to share strategic information as the plan is being developed, confidentiality is an essential component.
The first session discusses the international imperative, successful export strategies and planning templates. During this session, the group also begins learning priorities for session two.
The second session's content and expert speakers are customized to the specific needs and composition of the group.
The final session is a presentation of each company’s international growth plan for feedback from a panel of experts.
The research and plan development outside of the sessions is extensive, and you should be prepared to dedicate a minimum of 40 hours to the work required. In between sessions, you will have access to the experts you meet in the sessions, including both government export assistance providers and private sector resources, to assist you in the research and plan development.
Past participants have generated, on average, between $500,000 and $700,000 in increased or retained export sales, often within six months of completion. Since 2007, over 163 ExporTech™ programs have been delivered in 30 states with over 860 participating companies.
